Product Description

BK-38 is a solvent based suspending agent, easy dispersing grade organic clay, to be used in soybean oil based pesticide. It has stable chemical property, is applicable to be used pesticide formulations such as oil miscible suspension and suspension concentrates for seed treatment, which is effective to float raw material and other additives and avoid layering after long placing. BK-38 is especially suitable for ester solvent system such as soybean oil because of high suspension rate and stability.

Recommended Usage:

1. Direct addition method: 1put raw material, BK-38, soybean oil and other additives (certain ratio) in reactor by high shearing and mixing until getting a uniform mixture; 2put the mixture to a grinding machine and process with cooling water, until the particle size reach ≤5μm.
2. Pre-gel method: 1mix soybean oil with BK-38 to form 10% pre-gel (to get better dispersing, 95%ethanol or 95% methanol can be added at 40%-60% by weight of BK-38). Place pre-gel overnight to make sure fully dispersing and avoid post thickening problem; 2 put raw material, BK-38, soybean oil and other additives (certain ratio) in reactor by high shearing and mixing until getting a uniform mixture; 3put the mixture to a grinding machine and process with cooling water, until the particle size reach ≤5μm.

Recommended dosage

The dosage of BK-38 is about 0.5%-1.0% in pesticide suspending agent.
The above is just conventional dosage. The accurate dosage depends on required thickening and anti-sagging performance, and decided after testing.
